GL Publications since its establishment has transformed itself into the largest media house of the North East. Four daily newspapers come out of this publication house reaching out a wide readership in the region. The three other dailies are Amar Asom (Assamese) established on April 21, 1997, The Meghalaya Guardian, an exclusive English daily for Meghalaya, established on January 1, 1990 and The North East Times, another English daily for the entire region started on October 2, 1990.
