Government First Grade College, Bailhongal

The College is situated on the outskirts of Bailhongal town, which is etched in the history of Karnataka and India as a land of strong and valorous freedom fighters. The names and sacrifices of Kittur Rani Channamma, Belavadi Mallamma and Sangolli Rayanna make ones heart beam with pride and arouse patriotic feelings for one motherland. It is this holy land, that Government First Grade Womens College has been established in the year 1996, as the first Womens College in this part of North Karnataka. Presently, this college is affiliated to Karnataka State Womens University, Bijapur, and offers three courses BA, BCom, BBA.
