Government First Grade College, Gowribidanur

Government First Grade College, Gowribidanur is functioning under the control of the department of Collegiate Education, Government of Karnataka since the year 2007. The main intention of the government was to start the college here to provide the facility of higher education to the poor and rural students of Gowribidanur Taluk and neighboring villages at the subsidized rates of fee. The college offers conventional BA, B.Com., B.Sc. courses and management based BBM course. The college is affiliated to Bangalore University. The College takes special care in enabling the students to acquire basic skills in Computers. Special Courses in English are also conducted to help the students coming from Kannada medium at entry level to know basics of Language. Bridge Course in Commerce, Physics and Mathematics is also held to orient the students in the beginning of the year.
