Osmania College

Osmania College, Kurnool was established in 1947 by a renowned philanthropist, Dr. M. Abdul Haq Saheb, M.A., D.Phil. (Oxford).It is a minority institution, recognized by UGC under Section 2(f) and 12(b) of the UGC Act of 1956 and affiliated to Rayalaseema University, Kurnool (from the academic year 2010-2011). The college is located on a campus of 9.5 acres and offers courses in Arts, Humanities, Social Sciences, Sciences, Commerce, Management and Computer Applications at the undergraduate level. M.A. (English Literature), M.Sc. (Physics), M.Sc. (Organic Chemistry) and M.Com. (Professional) are the courses available at P.G. level. The college has the student strength of 2451(Men & Women) and the staff of 206 (Teaching 134 and Non-teaching 72).
