Palamahawan sa Culasi Slope

Our papang’s batchoy started first in Barangay Nasunogan Dao Capiz. The place from where my father is originally from. He was known as Johnsmon or anak ni Lolo Miguel Cordovero and Lola Ica na paltira (midwife). From there my papang ang nanay Phine started their business batchoyan. Later our family moved here to Roxas city, to be precise we lived where now stands 7-Eleven shop at Legazpi street but at that time it was Caltex, Panay and Pontevedra Jeepney terminal.

Here our papang Simon and nanay Phine started again a small carinderia and batchoyan. They served their customers for quite a long time until my father died and our batchoyan had to stop. Our family even had to leave the place due to personal matters. Since that time, our papang's batchoy has almost been forgotten. Forgotten until this year, when we started once again in January 2021 here in Culasi barangay with our Nanay's Phine Palamahawan. We will try to bring back our papang's batchoy legacy.
