The Shieldcoat story began with Mark Slater who founded Shieldcoat in 1996. Mark had a passion for Chemistry growing up, and it eventually grew into a love of “watching paint dry”. From humble beginnings in a small shed, employing mostly family and friends. We now operate from a 2500 square meter factory in South Brisbane’s busy industrial precinct. Shieldcoat are proud of our family oriented beginnings and strive to uphold that tradition as we grow towards becoming a major player in both the Australian and International paint markets.
