The Bandaranaike International Diplomatic Training Institute

The Institute was designed in the first instance to provide a training programme to recruits to the Sri Lanka Foreign Service, which would be in accord with similar programmes in other countries. However, a distinctive feature of the Bandaranaike International Diplomatic Training Institute is that apart from carrying out this specific mandate, it has broadened its curriculum of activities to embrace programmes on Diplomacy and International Relations for the nation. This wider role has been recognized by the public who have responded enthusiastically.
